THE MEAL OFFERING/ קרבן מנחה
The reason one might want to bring a קרבן מנחה are the same reason one might want to bring a קרבן עולה. Either they missed an opportunity to do a positive מצוה and they want to make up for it, or they transgressed a מצוה לא תעשה that can be fixed by a positive מצוה. Lastly, if you have impure or idolatrous thoughts. קרבן מנחה is the only korban that isn't meat. The ingredients are flour, oil, and frankincense. As it says in the pasuk, ונפשׁ כי תקריב קרבן מנחה לה׳ סלת יהיה קרבנו ויצק עליה שׁמן ונתן עליה לבנה . Rashi explains that the people most likely to bring a קרבן מנחה, would be a poor person. Rashi continues to explain that although to a regular human being a קרבן מנחה may not look like much, (being just a grain offering), but to ה׳, when a poor person brings a קרבן מנחה, its as if he is giving ה׳ his soul.
